I started beekeeping when I was 20 years old. How did I get into beekeeping? I simply needed a job. After about three years I met and worked with a woman from New Zealand and we became great friends. This led to me working on and off in New Zealand, Australia and South America over the next decade. I absolutely love my bees and you can often find me out with the hives only wearing shorts and a t-shirt. In 2021 I met a ranch manager in Mitchell, OR to inquire about placing bees on the ranch. Next thing I know I'm living in Mitchell, OR with said Ranch manager hahaha. My bees and I picked up our stuff from Walla Walla, WA and made the move. I love living in the area and the support from the community has been overwhelming! This year I will have approximately 400 hives and expand the retail business to offer more yummy products.
